We our often the cause of our own heartache. Through clinging to painful memories, discontent, and unmindful thinking, we get in the way of our own happiness. Once we learn to let go, to be content, and become aware of our thought patterns, we can step out of our own sunshine. Once we learn the types of negative thoughts we have we can make efforts to challenge them with reason. Once we can list the good things in our current situation we can be content. Happiness is the natural state of humanity; we just bury it in what we think we need to be doing or not doing.
